For Shape Monster at large group, each student is given a shape to hold. We then chant "Shape Monster, Shape Monster, Munch, Munch Munch! How about a ________ for your lunch?" As we say the names of each shape, the students holding it come up and put the shape in the monster's mouth.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Hello parents! I've been trying to decide a way to keep all of you updated on our weekly activities while keeping it simplified. I'm going to start posting a portion of our classroom lesson outline for the week. This way you can see day to day the activities we do for greeting time, small group and large group, giving you more information of what your child did for the day and the components of the curriculum we are focusing on. This week our theme was Chicka Chicka Boom Boom with an extra focus on the Alphabet and Writing:

Small Groups rotate each day depending on what group your child is in. Red Heart did ABCD, Green Square did CDAB and Blue Triangle did BCDA.
